Forum: prelinger Subject: Cheap and Nasty Plundering of Prelinger Films

The makers of "I Do They DONT" have nit-picked in the archive and selected images and used them totally out of context and dishonestly to bolster their argument. They have NO HESPECT for the sincerity of the original films.

You know, despite whether they make movies about the Virgin Mary or clubbing seals, they can do whatever they want with the footage. It's public domain.

As the Prelinger Archive head page states: "You are warmly encouraged to download, use, and reproduce these films in whole or in part, in any medium or market throughout the world, for any purpose whatsoever.."

I still believe that ETHICS are ALL IMPORTANT. Legal niceties are a detriment to our wellbeing and a cause of much injustice and unhappiness.
